Rapid.Tech – Trade fair and user´s conference for rapid technology
For the ninth time, the Rapid.Tech 2012 Congress Exhibition in Erfurt will pave the way for product development from prototype manufacturing to the direct production of the end product and its components. This Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a cross-sectional technology, for which both the intensive exchange of ideas with engineers as well as detailed practical reports from users are essential for its successful application.
As components produced by AM are being used in an ever increasing number of industries and grant the respective products unique features, in addition to the user conference and engineer day, the specialist forums “CAD/CAM and Rapid Prototyping in dentistry technology”, “Medical technology” and “Aviation” are also included in the Rapid.Tech program. With regard to Rapid.Tech 2011, 1,200 visitors and conference participants as well as 56 exhibitors demonstrate the importance of this range.
In addition to the technical components in the development of generative products, economic issues are becoming increasingly important. What effect do generative production procedures have on the organisation of the product development process? What can and must adapted business models look like?
